Zero Spreco is a plant-based polymer packaging thesis project from my bachelor’s degree, built on extensive research and reflection on resource waste. I have recently revisited and further developed it as a personal passion project.
Overview
Zero Spreco is an algae‑based packaging set. The research phase focused on Evoware technology as the foundation for developing products such as “plant‑based glass,” combined with 100% recyclable aluminum cans.

The Development
After the research phase, the next step was defining the logo.
Competitor analysis led to the choice of a simple yet bold style. Gotham was selected as the logo typeface for its versatile weights and kerning, and a dedicated pictogram was created to represent the concept of “total zero” in terms of waste and effort.
For the packaging, once the algae-based bottle polymer was established, a simple bottle shape was chosen to optimize costs, materials, and functionality. To further address disposal concerns, labels are printed on algae-based paper and feature vibrant, intricate background patterns in eye-catching colors inspired by water. A large white typeface serves as the key element that defines and differentiates each product.

The aesthetic of the "Jucy Water" entire line has been inspired by organic products, maintaining ing the pack at its essential, and printing labels on algae paper polymer for ensuring the complete disposal in the organic waste (except for the cap).

A different approach was taken for the “Bubbly Soda” line: sleek lines, fun patterns, and a big, bold logo ensure recognizability, giving the packaging a pop feeling while making it stand out among similar competitors on the shelf.
